28/09/08 GDH Lancer Evolution qualifies for Winter Champs
Lancer Evolution and rider Emma Smith qualified for the Winter Championships 2009 at the Petplan Area Festival at Prelim level. Emma was third at Patchetts on "Larry" bought from German Dressage Horse last summer. It is Emma's first year at Affiliated Dressage and she has gone from strength to strength after being placed in both the Prelim and Novice finals at the Trailblazers Championship. Emma is trained by Essex based Katherine Brace.
22/09/08 Champion at Nationals
G.D.H Flashdance and Verity Boys were the decisive winners of the Novice Restricted at the National Championships. With a score of 71.8%- 3% above the nearest rival Flashdance was crowned Champion. He is owned and produced by German Dressage Horse.
Other successes from German Dressage Horse include Showmaker and Garry Williams 3rd in Elementary and 6th in the Medium.
Freestyler and Tanya Manning 8th Elementary Restricted.
Astral 53 and Verity Boys 5th Prelim
Shining Light and Rebecca Hughs 5th Inter I Freestyle and 10th in the Inter I
Plus a special mention to Christine Cockerton and Fijji Reef 4th in the Novice Restricted and 3rd in the Prelim at her first ever Nationals - trained by Garry Williams.

18/08/08 Para Jumping Leading Rider!
Rachel Maddox has won The Leading Rider title at an International Para Jumping Championship held in England. This was only her second Para jumping competition on the 16.3hh 10 year old gelding. She won and was highly placed in all the classes on Woodlander Illya K which gave her the title. Illya K was sold by us on behalf of his owner Sarah Boys in January 2008. He was originally purchased for Rachels husband John to ride. But Rachel "stole" the ride after John has been unable to ride since falling down a ditch. She has been selected to represent GB at further competitons in Europe and goes off to France in September. Good luck Rachel.
30/08/09 Trailblazers Champion
Desporados and Charlotte McCarthy were the champions at Junior Novice at the Trailblazers final. Desporados is a 16.2hh 6 year old Hannoverian gelding by Don Vino purchsed from German Dressge Horse last year. Charlotte also won the use of a trailer for a year as she scored the highest percentage of the show. Not satisfied with this she also was 6th in the Junior Elementary.
Other horses sold by German Dressage horse to get placed were Sam Smyth on Don Pedro - she was 2nd in the Senior Elementary.
Emma Smith and GDH Lancer Evolution 6th in the senior Prelim.

07/09/08 Ghost Champion at Bundeschampionate
Ghost the stunning 5 yro pony stallion by Going Top sold by us last year has again had success in Germany. This time the very consistent pony was partnered by Louisa Lutten. He won the 5 year old semi final and the Championship at the famous German Young Horse Championships. This means he has been reserve as a 3 and 4 year old and finally the Gold Medal winner as a 5 year old. This pony is a definite team pony for the future.
20/08/08 Treble Win At Eastern Regionals
German Dressage Horse has a very successful Regional Championships beginning with a win by Verity Boys with a score of over 70% on GDH Flashdance in the Novice Qualifier. Following on with a third place in the Prelim on the breeding stallion Astral 53 and getting a wild card entry to the National Championships." I am shocked" says Verity of her first ever regional championships. "Both horses were such good boys. Astral has only just started dressage after showjumping and I just love riding Flashdance".
Showmaker won both of his classes the Medium open and the Elementary Open with scores of up to 76%

Showmaker Foal Top Lot at Brightwells
The Brightwells auction saw a beautiful filly by Showmaker out of a mare by Ferro sell for the top dressage lot at the August sale.
Bred by Sharon Baldwin at Meadow Stud and owned by Mr E Royal she made £7,200.00. Good luck to her new owners and we look forward to seeing her in the future.
Showmaker scores 10's!
Showmaker has continued his winning form in the Young Horse Qualifiers with unbelieveable scores.
At Patchetts in the 6 year old class judges Ingar Bryant and Nicola McGiven scored him with 10 for his canter "super jump and suppleness. A pleasure to watch" plus 10 for general impression. "Did not appear to have any weaknesses". He finished on a score of 94.4%.
Showmaker followed this with another win in the 6 year old class at Wellington under judges Sandy Phillips and Linda Whetstone. He received 9.8 for his canter and a 10 for general impression with a final percentage of 94.6%. The comment on the sheet was "What more do we want!!"
Winter Championship Double Success
Rockspring and Shining Light both won titles at the 2008 Winter Championships at Hartpury.
Shining Light was victor in the Prix St George Freestyle partnered by Rebecca Hughes. He was bought by owner Felicity Scott from German Dressage Horse as a 3 year old and has been produced by Felicity until she recently passed the reins over to Rebecca Hughes to ride.
The second champion was Rockspring (pictured) sold to Charlotte Holes in 2004. He was partnered to success in the Novice Combined Training by his co champion in the prelim in 2007, Felicity Wells.

27/04/08 Showmaker Colt
A very good looking bay colt foal was born in the early hours of 27th April. The mare is a very nice 7 year old by Laurentianer and she herself has been successful in the Dressage Arena.
